Vaccine and medication storage

Pharmacies, clinics and public health programmes. Continuous logging with a calibration certificate on file, alarms set inside the storage range, and a documented response when one sounds — the shape of evidence VFC storage and handling guidance expects.

02 · Transfusion

Blood and tissue storage

Whole blood and red cell storage runs a narrow window, and surface readings are not the same as product core temperature. Probe selection matters more here than anywhere else, and the record has to show both the reading and the response.

03 · Laboratory

Laboratories and research

Reagent refrigerators, ultra-low freezers, incubators and water baths on one view. Different instruments need different probes; an ultra-low freezer measured with a general-purpose sensor produces numbers nobody should rely on.

04 · Distribution

Pharmaceutical storage

Controlled room temperature and refrigerated storage in distribution settings, monitored against a mapped profile so the sensors sit where the mapping showed drift, not where installation was convenient.

Step one

Inventory the units

Every refrigerator, freezer and incubator, what it holds, and the range that applies to it.

Step two

Match probe to instrument

Buffered probes for vaccine refrigerators, low-temperature probes for ultra-low freezers, in-unit placement where core temperature is what matters.

Step three

Alarms and escalation

Limits inside the storage range, a named responder, and escalation when an alarm goes unacknowledged.
